In Searching For Summer the tone sounds depressing at first because it talks about bombs and how the sun never showes।But during there quest the honey moon couple faces a problem,she picks up a elderly lady's bag(or so she says),so they go into the woods to find out who's bag it is।on the way there when they return the bag to the लदी.While they ate they realize that they have saw light all the time,when they were on there quest.After that they were filled with joy and happiness because the fulfilled or finished their quest at last so now they can tell their children and pass the quest down for generations to come.
I think that this story sounds adventurous because in most part of the story it talks about how they are desperate for sunlight and to see new land,in which they did because they were so determined.It also talked about the history of bombs when it said whitish gray,day after,day,sometimes darkening to a weeping slate-color,or at the end of the evening,turning to smoky copper/the sky endlessly secretly brooded.That sentence describes what an outcome of a bomb can be,even after many days.A question that came to mind is why did they go on such a painful search because they were escaping and sick of their home and needed to find clean land?
When I read this short story I saw a lot of emotion,some of them you can feal such as when it said short-tempered with frustration,you can see that he is experianced.When the character goes through something you do to,it reflexs on the reader,it changes us in many ways,for an example you understand the characters better and what the author is trying to say(the meaning of the story).When the girl left the house she was still wearing her wedding sandals that means that she is connected to them because it remind her of her weding.
