The Most Dangerous Game

The Most Dangerous game is a long and creepy story. A man named Rainsford is always use to being the hunter and hunting other animals. He has never known what it feels like to be the hunted until his encounter with General Zaroff. Rainsford hears gunshots and he follows the sound where they are coming from. He goes outside and holds on to the rail, but he slips and falls off the boat and into the ocean. He decided to swim towards the island where he heard the gunshots(Ship Trap Island). There he meets General Zaroff and at first the General acts nice and welcoming. That is until he tells Rainsford about what he hunts. General Zaroff use to hunt animals, but he soon got tired of them. He said "Animals can't reason, they always live off of instinct. That's when he created a knew type of game, hunting humans(or The Most Dangerous Game). Rainsford says that this is murder but General Zaroff has made his own truth in believing that it's not. That's when the General tells Rainsford that he is apart of "The Most Dangerous Game." The General supplies Rainsford with clothing, food, and a knife. General Zaroff says "Go on, I don't start until the evening.

The hunt is on. Rainsford has set out and starts immediately setting a trail for the General to follow, but right after he turns around and tries very hard to not lo leave a trail behind. After doing this he climbs up a tree to hide and ends up staying there for the night. He falls asleep and when he wakes in the morning he hears General Zaroff approaching. He hides next to the limb on the tree when he saw General Zaroffs eyes gazing up the tree. General Zaroff stops looking just before the tree limb that Rainsford was on. The General smiles and walks away. Rainsford thought what he didn't want to think, General Zaroff was saving him for anothers day play. Rainsford was the mouse and General Zaroff was the cat. Rainsford jumps off a cliff and the General thinks that he has died, but he hasn't. Rainsford survives for the next three days and he wins, now he is waiting for the General in his room. General Zaroff finds Raiinsford in his room and gets challened to a fencing match. Whoever loses is food for the hounds and the winner gets to sleep in the fantastic bed. Rainsford decides that he had never slept in a better bed.
