In the short story the "Rocking Horse Winner" a boy named Paul believed that he had bad luck because his mother had married a very unlucky man. Paul later believed that he had good luck because he said that God gave him a vision. Paul's mother did not believe him so he decided to prove to her that he was right. For many days Paul road on his rocking horse staring into space when on day he new how to prove that he was lucky.
Paul and his Uncle Oscar had made a bet on the horse race. Paul won all money but, instead of keeping it to himself Paul shared his money with his family. Unfortunately Paul died the next day.
