"What Means Switch"

I enjoy the short story, What Means Switch very much because it adds a touch of history into the story without making the ENTIRE story about history thats currently in the story "happening". Also, its shows how an Asian or Chinese girl can fit into society and be free. i believe so because Mona was always trying to impress people, but with Sherman, she could be the genuine Mona. Not, this fake Barbie doll version of Mona! Feeling something like this must be brilliant! I am not sure why Sherman flipped Mona at the end though?!?! Why would you just finish asking a girl to "marry you" and then go on and flip her. Even worse the flip was so hard that there was blood on the back of her head! And then just to leave, without a goodbye, as your leaving to Japan and you'll probably never see her again! What a shame?!?!
